Waseca County Emergency Management sponsers two repeaters for both general and emergency use. Both the VHF (146.715) and UHF (442.300) repeaters are licensed under the EOC call sign KB0UJL.
Both repeaters are located on Waseca County's central radio tower near the center of the county. The transmit antennas are at the 200ft level and the receive anntennas are at the 265ft level. Both repeaters have backup power supplied by a generator located on site.
The repeaters have a 141.3 CTCSS tone on the input and output frequencies. Currently, only the output tone is active, mainly due to the cable TV interference in the City of Waseca. Depending on band conditions, the input tone may be activated to reduce co-channel interference. It is recommended that all radios be programmed with this input tone enabled.
